COUPEZ-ICI (2015-21)

COUPEZ-ICI is a collaborative project between Alvaro and the poet Patrick Lafontaine. Instead of gluing pre-cut images together, we decided to replace the glue by a photograph of the final composition. This allows us to create without the need for a definitive composition that will be glued on a support. On the contrary, by photographing the final composition, we can reuse the images in new and always unique creations. Source images are collected from dusty old books and forgotten publications, all found in thrift stores. COUPEZ-ICI is about collecting images and applying them in unusual and amazing original compositions.
