Prêt-à-diffuser is the final show of the master's degree in visual and media arts by the artist Alvaro (UQAM, 2021-2023).Opening took place on December 6, 2023 at Popop Gallery in Montréal, Canada.
The artist is interested in the recovery and transformation of historical images and colonial archives in order to create new visual narratives in the form of posters with a decolonial approach. In addition, Alvaro offers a reflection on the stereotypes linked to the feminine and masculine genders in a queer posture. For the artist, the free distribution of prints and street pasting are part of the artistic process.

Prêt-à-diffuser est l’exposition de conclusion de maîtrise en arts visuels et médiatiques de l’artiste Alvaro (UQAM, 2021-2023). Le vernissage aura lieu le 06 décembre 2023 à la Galerie Popop, à Montréal, Canada.
L’artiste s’intéresse à la récupération et à la transformation d’images historiques et d’archives coloniales afin de créer des nouveaux récits visuels sous la forme d’affiches dans une approche décoloniale . En plus, Alvaro propose une réflexion sur les stéréotypes liés aux genres féminin et masculin dans une posture queer . Pour l’artiste, la distribution gratuite des imprimés et l’affichage sauvage font partie de la démarche artistique.
